Easy–going, urban vibes in artistic new café spot in Pechersk district of Kyiv, Ukraine. Located in a cozy courtyard, this trendy social space is a creation of balbek bureau and shows an unpretentious, raw, and urban vibe for a modern social hub space. The Dyletant café design communicates with its customers by intricate details and attention towards the smallest aspect (like the custom concrete sink in the bathroom complemented by a swan-shaped faucet).
These small treats are very typical for the design signature of the balbek team works. Vintage details- like the suspended above the communal table lamps, fabricated circa 1940 and purchased from a flea market, the vintage ceramic dog, the refurbished chairs circa 1960’; and many other playful elements of the artistic décor, give a historically substantial, almost romantic vibe with a youthful spirit. Customized neon signs, graphite drawings, and colorful murals emphasize the creative character of this social- hub- cafe space.
Row and organic materials – concrete, exquisite wood tables ( including the huge communal table that greets everybody at the main space) and vintage accents, exposed brick and ceiling pipes, and industrial-style stainless steel main bar, give a cool yet dynamic vibe to the décor composition.
The custom made asymmetrical mirror by the entrance, the colorful sketches decorating the walls, the mural -designed and painted by artist graph0man, the neon light sign that says “Let the whole world wait.” – are all attention-worthy details that add to the modern and fashionable character of the space. But the best of this artistic yet unpretentious décor composition is the space that provides for the local community, the togetherness vibe, and the stylish freedom to have a good time and meaningful social interactions.
