Preserving the original volume and bones of the place, alongside appropriated brick structures and exposed beams, the architects from INT2 architecture created this modern and elegant living space in central Moscow. The renovation of this apartment space offers a beautiful entwinement between original and historic vibe and modern requirements, organic textures, and a luxurious overall feel.
The open-floor layout of the main living areas – kitchen, dining, and living room premises – presents a dynamic sequence of nine brick-arched windows, intriguing space division solutions like the stylish and custom-made bookshelf construct separating the privacy of the bedroom from the main daily flow. Actually, the architects used impressive, modern black cube constructs to separate in the open floor plan two private zones – the guest bedroom behind the bookshelves and a sanitary area next to the kitchen zone.
The dialog between the whitewashed raw brick walls, the gorgeous herringbone parquet on the floors, and the smooth elegance of the customized black surfaces is quite the dynamic, contemporary treat. Monochrome color palette- black, white, gray, and beige – composes the stylish décor, allowing the rich textural feel to stand out. Precious materials like wood, brick, linen, marble, and ceramics entwine in elegant dance throughout the apartment, giving a luxurious and stylish vibe of the clear-lined décor stylistics.
Trendy hacks were used to provide a characteristic expression for the décor project – black structural cubes to host different areas into an open-flow volume, a free-standing bathtub in the master bedroom space defined only by transparent glass. Fashionable furniture pieces like the round-cornered sofa or the trendy metro tile selection in the marble-rich bathroom give a characteristic contemporary twist in the interior décor trend for stylish urban spaces with a hint of luxury.
