This loud, bright, colorful, happy, tasty interior is created for Meatbusters Gastropub in Palanga. Palanga is a seasonal summer vacation city filled with nature, Baltic sea, architectural heritage and a mix people and of different decades styles.
Not often I get to splash such colors and use graffiti, that’s is why I really love this Palanga city style, seaside, 90’s, loft style and street art inspired interior. A little bit of everything and the result is exceptional!
It was interior make-over from a sad brown, old pub to an eccentric , colorful hipsterish statement. Brick building was built in 90s like a private house. It’s architecture, facade, location and atmosphere dictated the theme of a concept – 90s Lithuania (after Lithuania became Independent) and street style art. So I chose to keep that spirit and incorporate in my design. And the task was to do a youthful, different, edgy and memorable place that will impact every client.
I wanted to give a polished interior some kind of chaos so I did graffiti on the ceiling. Which is the main feature of the interior. The artist is martynas.auz.
I chose three main colors: blue, red, white – they immediately give you that seaside vibe. And since gastropub is by the seaside it was very important to merge location and interior together to get a unified design.
