This contemporary apartment project, poetically called “Deep Gray,” comes with its minimalistic and row aesthetics and elegant modern chooses from the work portfolio of Azovskiy & Pahomova architects. If you have not caught up so far – some of the most iconic modern urban stylistic projects come from contemporary Ukrainian and Lithuanian architectural designs. In the case of this stylish and intriguing home for a young family with two children, the appreciation of modern minimalism and raw, organic aesthetics is in its bloom.
The construction materials’ raw data plays their own role of a central focal piece in the décor composition. Concrete columns, ceiling panels, exposed wiring, shining tile surfaces, and wooden partitions that separate the architectural shell’s open layout composition are the bones of the project. The designers cleverly used wooden accents to punctuate the pure stylistic with warmer notes. Although, in the case, of the burned wood and black metal cladding of the refrigerator, the accent may not be so warm- but it certainly is impressive. The custom made design’s black structure contrasts with the smooth white minimalism of the Kitchen Island and creates a dynamic juxtaposition and unique rhythm for the kitchen zone. Throughout the apartment custom made structures and unique design solutions give visual anchor to the design idea’s purity and urban rawness.
A play with color accents and geometrical shapes gives individuality and personal warmth to the home’s different premises. Cheerful colors and replicated peach team accessories (lamps, chairs, bookshelves) provide vitality to the children’s room. Moss green and various shades of nature bring warmth and comfort to the master bedroom. Bout bedrooms have a parquet flooring for additional warmth and a cozy feel.
Extensive tile cladding in the charming corridor and stylish bathroom premises gives an additional urban – jazz feel to the apartment’s modern aesthetics. Alternating raw, almost industrial décor elements with stylish charm and iconic decorative accents, the design team achieved a unique character, elegant functionality, and freedom of the design expression.
