Cute bonbon in cheerful colors, designed in the spirit of its artistic and unique location – the city of Barcelona. The designers from CaSA ware charged with the task of refurbishing and restoring this family residence after a severe fire had damaged much of its interior. But with clever usage of materials, respect towards the historical heritage of the place ( thus restoring and preserving as much it was possible from it), and within the limitations of a budget-friendly interior design, the CaSA team created cheerful, artistic and sooo welcoming ambiance.
Within the open-floor plan composition of the social areas (almost a mandatory layout for modern homes), the designers used colors and textures to distinguish zones and create functional borders. A strip of peach-pink with terracotta accents covers the custom-made breakfast-bar and the kitchen cabinets. In paler shades, a small corridor with art nouveau floor tiling is distinguished. And the living room premise is situated between modern elegance – in light grays- and historic hot romance – where a deep and intense color underlines the ornaments of the ceiling – so, not typical for caps.
The same duality of color composes the interior of the bedrooms – here more calming tonalities are chosen but still the beautiful ornaments of the ceilings (rescued by the fire) are underlined with the deep coloring of the fragment, distinguishing the lower half of the decor composition from the upper and the ceilings. The horizontal line of the color duality goes throughout the apartment, enhancing the playful and artistic spirit of the decor and giving a contrast between the tiled floors and colored ceilings. Beautiful, bespoke furniture pieces adorn each space: cabinets in bathroom, kitchen, and corridor and so on, in addition, custom-made door handles and other small details, as well as trendy and even iconic lamps, give stylish and unique accents to the design composition.
