The building in the Vilnelė River Valley features a mini-loft interior. It is impossible to overlook the changing beauty of the seasons – the hills, the forest, the riverbed and the color dynamics that the environment brings. The Loft owners wanted to feel the greatest possible connection to the surrounding environment, which is why October Design Studio designed a small but high-ceilinged, large storefront housing so that nature would find reflections in interior solutions at any time of the year.
Functionally, the rooms are designed to separate the utility / auxiliary functions behind the quiet purple ‘body’ and give the living area a maximum height feel. Ideal proportions of space do not require small details, decor. The space is constructed with clear volumes, several dominant shades and textures. Luxurious materials – marble countertops, wood veneer, parquet boards, patio tiles and iconic furniture, chandeliers complementing the whole – make this interior unique and distinctive.
The rather pastel tones of spring and summer bring more contrast to the striking nature of the river valley that is felt in this interior. In contrast, in a gloomy period, space blends in with resting forests, and a few brighter accents make the interior much livelier and more playful. Photography by Norbert Tukaj;
