STORAGE
Design Piero Lissoni + Porro Research Centre, 2019
As the real heart of the house, the spacious Storage Dressing Room mixes and matches completely transparent spaces, open or closed by glass doors, with units closed by ciliegio white back panels, a melamine finish that reproduces the grain of cherrywood but softens its rosy colour with more neutral and universal tones. The structure and the metal parts feature the cuvée finish, a refined and precious colour that contributes to making the composition look lighter.

MATERIC
Design Piero Lissoni, 2017
Retro inspiration and chic design characterize the dining room featuring the Materic table, a sculptural object where the absolute simplicity of design is juxtaposed to the sophistication of materials and workmanships. Materic features a round and tapered table top, laying on a turned truncated cone as a base. The top in marble comes in 7 fine nuances ranging from verde rameggiato to the more traditional white Carrara marble. The base is made up of 12 sand-blasted natural, dark brown-stained or black-stained solid ash boards that or sand-blasted natural ash boards that are turned and connected to one another with finger joints so as to obtain a perfect truncated cone with a distinct wood grain. The rotating tray in the middle is perfectly flush with the top and is cut from the same marble slab; the exact coplanarity provides for the utmost consistency of the surface and texture of the table top.

OFFSHORE
Design Piero Lissoni, 2019
Without forgetting craftsmanship, the series of Offshore containers is characterized by fluctuating colours which evoke abstract painting and express the retro flavor of oriental furniture. Made of ash wood with a special 45° connection between shelf, sides and top, the result of an accurate manufacturing process, they come in an open-pore stained finish featuring all the colours of Porro’s collection or in a special carminio ash finish – obtained through repeated manual steps, thanks to which the grain, previously darkened with black tones, comes to the surface in a fascinating dark red colour. The opening is also unusual, featuring a special built-in handle, i.e. a completely metal-plated hole that provides for newly-discovered tactile sensations.
