From the series small urban apartments ( a passion project of ours -exploring the great variety of innovative and talented decor solutions for the limited livable space of modern life), this relatively small ( 75 square meters) urban dwelling in Moscow present us with soft organic take on modern stylistics and dynamic yet elegant decor compositions.
Combining row concrete with blond wood, soft shades of gray with expressive black elements the design creation of Boris Denisiuk for buro5 has a welcoming yet cool character with fresh contemporary insertions on a natural base. Using flexible and trendy separation system – half-wall partitions, textural emphasis, metal framed glass doors, and visual continuity of materials compositions – the designer achieved a spacious feel and ambiance full of natural light.
The main social areas of the apartment consist of open plan arrangement between the straightforward lines of the kitchen appliances, the organic and minimalist silhouettes of the dining zone and the soft, gray comfort of the narrow living room space. The black metal framed glass partitions together with the row concrete textures give youthful, urban dynamic’s feel to the decor composition.
The amazing wooden craftsmanship on the other hand (just take a look at the master bedroom and the beauty of the bed’s base or the elegant silhouette of the kitchen table) and the soft textures in neutral colors including the large curtains used as space definers, add a warmer and homier feel to the arrangement. This clever balance of the décor selection together with the abundant natural light introduced into the decor give the place its inviting yet decisive character. Photo: Luciano Spinelli
