The authors of the project are Virtoriia Shkliar and Olga Antontseva – FORM Bureau. The home owner is sociable and hospitable, loves arranging receptions for friends and family. This is not the first joint project: next to the guest house is the main house, the interior of which was also created by the authors.
The main requirement was to create a full-fledged resting place for a large company with a separate spa area. Earlier in this place was a brown log house. Its appearance was not comparable to the architecture of the main house. Also its sizes did not fit, because the home owner likes to make receptions for a large company.
The project was developed by the FORM bureau from start to finish. The single-floor, elongated shape of the house perfectly fits into the architectural ensemble with the main house, the existing swimming pool and landscape design. The uniform stylistics in design and finishing materials is sustained. The house has a terrace by the pool, and on the side there is a separate barbecue area.
The layout of the house is very simple and concise – it is a regular rectangle, divided into two zones – a large main area for the rest of a large company, flowing into the kitchen area. And a SPA area for secluded relaxation. The living room was provided with a fireplace area, which is central in the room, and a dining area for 20. High ceilings add solemnity to the living room. There is a secret door on the wall of wooden bars in the kitchen, leading into the second space – the SPA area with a sauna and a font.
The spaces of different functions are designed with a single concept of the interior, which consists in combining the wooden structures traditionally used for chalets with modern materials made in the natural style. The color palette is built on the contrast. White walls are the background, and create a balance with dark elements of wooden beams, veneered panels and tiles.
Thanks to the panoramic windows, the interior is filled with natural light, and opens up the inner space of the surrounding landscape. The spa area has almost no windows in order to hide and rest from the outside world. Lighting plays a special role in the interior. Thanks to natural daylight and soft diffused light in the evening, the interior is filled with comfort.
The interior used furniture made by the author’s drawings, embodied by the Ukrainian manufacturers. All upholstered furniture in the interior is the collection of HEY sofas by the Ukrainian MODI company, previously developed by the authors of the project. The project is thought out to the smallest detail. The authors managed to create the perfect place to relax and enjoyment while interacting with friends and family.
