Dynamic interior compositions, flexible spatial arraignment and exquisite modern furniture pieces all enveloped in delicate pastels and trendy materials selection – this is the new project of the talented Lithuanian designer Laura Giržade and her design studio Softdecor. Using her signature combination of laconic and dynamic decor compositions, pure textures and clear lines framed by black accents and filled with rich tactile sensations in pastel colors, the designer turned this urban apartment into a stylish home for a modern woman.
The interior composition is dominated by stylish entwinement of organic wood surfaces, smooth concrete and the expressive black lines (including the trendy glass – metal screens that separate the different zones of the apartment). The main living space features long and narrow architectural exposition, but the pure lines of the decor and the movable wall panels – both sliding wooden planes and folding glass – metal meshes – secure dynamic distribution of natural light and movement between privet and social areas. Thanks to the trendy folding window separation in the middle of the open plan living room, kitchen exposition – the comfy looking sofa turns into a temporary guest bedroom.
Raw concrete floors going throughout the apartment give unity and dynamic urban hint to the decor composition. The sophisticated color palette – a mixture of the natural wooden shades, the soft gray and trendy pastels – is underlined by the expressive black accents and the rich textures (velvet, wood, concrete, metal, and glass). A combination of trendy furniture pieces ( like the undulated shapes of the velvet armchairs and the dynamic design coffee table) with sophisticated material and functional custom-made structures gives the place its unique and elegant character.
