When it’s cold outside, one really enjoys cozy, warm and invitingly light interiors so… A small jewel – cheerful, functional and unique, this small studio apartment, only 30 sq.m. is located near Gdansk, Poland and designed by Interurban.
The design configuration offers a bespoke wood structure that hosts the sleeping zone – securing privacy but also providing a bright and functional solution for restrained spaces. But the designers did not stop with factionalism they introduced playful elements like the rotating oval mirror that visually extends the vistas in bout premises – a small working corner is also distinguished in the clear-lines of the wooden construct.
The rest of the living premises are decided with cheerful, modern furniture pieces, fallowing the oblong-shape. A lead of the whimsical mirror element from the bed box and introducing it this way a characteristic fresh spirit for the whole design. The color selection is kept light and modern, different shades of a dove: gray, pastel colorful accents that introduce cheerful summer spirit and the natural light color of the wooden furniture and structure; an absolute delight. The bathroom continues the oblong shape design idea: gorgeous mini-sing, round wooden base and porcelain top, detached form the wall. The alternation of colors here is straightened buy the black accents and gives certain graphic expression to the whole design arrangement. Photography by Tom Kurek
