Sophisticated Modular 3D Stone Coverings by Lithos Design

0

Lithos Design has always focused on the needs of interior designers and architects’ studios and has recently supplemented its project portfolio with two new references in the USA and Australia. The customers from a designer hotel in Brooklyn and an office space in Sydney, both affording breathtaking views, chose the stone and technology offered by Lithos Design to decorate sophisticated settings with character and warmth, where the welcome is the keyword.

The William Vale Hotel, Brooklyn

Situated in the heart of the hip and happening Williamsburg in Brooklyn, The William Vale hotel was designed by Studio Munge, who furnished its suites, its hall, and its events venues.

The star attraction of the hotel is the Vale Garden Residence, a penthouse spanning approximately 123 m2 over two stories: two bedrooms and a living room that stretches outside with a terrace offering a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, the perfect spot for private dinners and exclusive events.

In the middle of the living room stands a 5-metre high marble partition, commissioned by Studio Munge from Lithos Design: the Rigel model from the Le Pietre Luminose collection distinguishes this natural stone wall that dominates the high-ceilinged space, acting as a backdrop for the suite’s living area, visible from anywhere in the room, including the massive, luxurious terrace.

Aurora Place, Sydney
Aurora Place is a commercial space situated in Sydney’s Business District overlooking the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The building, designed by Renzo Piano, also houses offices, including an open-plan facility on the 28th floor, designed by Australian Interior Design firm, Andrew Loader Design. The Sydney based design firm chose the Fondo model from the Le Pietre Incise collection with Curve Luce complements for the reception desk, situated in an open-plan area surrounded by vast panes of glass.

The soft curves and the marble recall the waves and rocks in Sydney Harbour, the perfect evocation for the reception desk, which creates a genuine sense of welcome and warmth in the large setting. The light emanated from the stone, both upwards and downwards, becomes a decorative game that further emphasizes its importance as the central point in the room.
