Sunny and fresh, delicately elegant and inviting with light decor and organic presence of the used interior materials this is the new modern home created by Tribe Studio Architects – a modern home in the traditionally conservative neighborhood of Double Bay.
The interior composition is designed to light, bright and unified by simple yet rigorous geometry that connects conceptually the inviting interiors with the clear lined darkness of the rectangular facade. Nested between tiny Victorian cottages the house liner construct keeps the small proportions, although providing spacious and open interiors.
The light and luminous color palate that secures additional brightens to the sunny premises with its crisp white base softened as a rose peddles by the smooth pastel accents (in delicate pinks and eggshell blues) is creating an ambiance of joy and tranquility. Interesting in this home design is the way the decor composition plays with the natural sun light throughout the reflective surfaces and color hues, through the many architectural openings, skylights, and vast windows and even through the furniture and finishing selection – the shining reflection from the marble kitchen island, the more muted and mat reflection from the wooden surfaces – all in the house is connected to the light and its multiple shapes. The design is flexible, unostentatious and timeless. Photography by Katherine Lu
