Rina Lovko Studio designed Parus, which means ‘the sail’ in Ukrainian, a 20th-floor apartment for a family of two in Kiev. Of the apartment’s 200 square meters, Rina Lovko Studio renovated 150 of it, leaving just 50 square meters untouched for future children.
The focal point of the interior is the expansive three-panel window that overlooks the Dnieper River. It was important in the redesign of the elongated apartment to keep the view in mind, so a two-way cabinet that can be used on both sides of the corridor was installed.
The dining area is now at the end of the kitchen island and right in front of the window allowing visitors to be a part of the cooking or to watch a movie on the living room side.
