Created for an owner with large, beautiful collection of paintings, antiques and books this apartment in Poznan, Poland becomes much more than exhibiting room – it becomes a piece of contemporary art and design itself.
The designers from PL.architekci aimed for clear-lined space with a modern minimalist layout that also exuberant class and style. White polished surfaces, light wood construct (as custom made furniture or even as room dividing constructs), leather and soft gray carpets give the necessary home comfort and warmth to the ambiance without dominating the composition.
The bespoke wooden library that contains the owner collection of books together with the construct for the bio fuel fireplace and the TV-set in the living space also serves as a space divider and central focal point for the premise. Supplemented by clear lines and contemporary furnishing, fashionable lighting solutions and soft textures space offers comfort and unostentatious style.
The kitchen is minimalistic and functional with hidden compartments that hide the appliances. The wooden lattice of the ceiling that goes throughout the premises (even in bathroom and bedroom layouts) also carries a special designer’s touch to the composition.
Whiteness, gray hues, and warm caramel wood entwine in one elegant color palette that with its simplicity brings timelessness and class to the interior design. The whole apartment positioning and the large floor-to-ceiling windows are orientated so that the views of the nearby park and lake to merge with the interior and to bring fresh, natural touch to its composition.
