Casa Luna – A Place to Escape and Relax

0

Contemporary Italian project of a house in almost industrial scale – large spaces, high ceilings, raw concrete shells, neon lights. This creation of Buratti Architetti is rich of textures and materials, faces and plays of light. The signature neon illumination of the architects design is present in the very intimate atmosphere of the basement where the swimming pool area changes its colors according to the moods of the owners. The whole house project is created with the strong participation of the owners need and desires.

The house has a dual personality, which corresponds with the two different levels of the space: the luminous ground floor that is open to the outside world and includes all the classic features, living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms; and the more intimate basement, closed and dark, a kind of bunker marked by a large relaxation area. A place to escape and relax – on the large sofa, watching a movie on the big movie screen, read a book in the wooden alcove or enjoys a swim in the pool.

The ground floor (as the whole house) has a rich material palette that greets the visitors from the entrance of the premises – oak wood flooring, large sliding screens in dark thermo-treated cedar wood, paneling and cabinets in brushed larch wood and white lacquered matt, raw iron, glass and white and black stones. Combined with modern and functional furniture and rich textures the experience of the space becomes luxurious and rich.

The heart of the house, the living room, is dominated by the sculptural totems in crude iron that incorporate the fireplace and the TV screen. The large round glass table defines the dining area and separates it from the kitchen, which is very trendy and fashionable – all-steel opened to the living room with a long plan that culminates in smoked glass cantilevered volume.

Fashionably and luminous this project evokes the sense of dynamic city life and untamable youth.
