Spring has come, and Rimm collection by Lassen has arrived at just the right time for presenting the beautiful fresh flowers and plants that are so abundant in Scandinavia at this time of year.
“Our new Rimm collection of vases and flowerpots invites nature inside, presenting flowers and plants in a beautiful, harmonic way with their expression of sharp angles matched with organic forms. Just like our Kubus collection, they have a graphic starting point but also encompass softer rounded elements, making them a perfect extension to the by Lassen universe. The design idea for Rimm initially arose from Mogens Lassen’s lifelong interest in plants, which was very evident in his architecture and his goal of bringing nature into the living space. He was often pictured in his study alongside a large philodendron plant!” explains by Lassen Director and Co-Owner Nadia Lassen.
With its special glazing giving it a unique texture and glow, the Rimm vase can be thought of like a decoration in itself, perfect as a standalone object with or without flowers. Alternatively, new dynamic rhythms can be fashioned by placing several vases together in varying combinations of colours and shapes. The Rimm vase is launched in two different sizes to accommodate both short and long-stemmed flowers.
The Rimm flowerpot is available in four sizes all of which are designed with extra growing space to give the plant room to evolve and develop, from herbs in the kitchen to a fig tree on the balcony. The new Rimm collection presents plants and flowers in a timeless balanced way that is characterised by a striking fusion of function, form and aesthetics, allowing the intrinsic beauty of materials and handcraft to stand out.
