Colorful, playful, with modernistic furniture and shining surfaces this home located in Rio de Janeiro has its renovation and upgrade designed by the Gisele Taranto Arquitetura architects team as a functional modern dwelling. The interior design features some renowned Brazilian and Italian furniture design pieces, laid on a base of wood, granite and glass surfaces and spiced up with rich color palette and some vintage details spread throughout the decor.
The facade of the home preserve its privacy and the aluminum movable shutters protect the interior from the bright Brazilian sun. The house consists of several flexibly arranged levels that host all the necessary premises for a functional family dynamics – in that count an outdoor premise with swimming pool and kitchenette. The glass partitions that define some of the premises ( like the very cozy reading area above the study and in the children’s room, or the roof terraces) including the main staircase that combines granite, metal and glass, give an elegant and modern touch to the arrangement of the decor. Combining decorative pieces of art (sculptures, painting and so on) with furniture and lighting solutions that are also pieces of art in their own way the designers achieve one rich and entertaining atmosphere where the cozy and welcoming effect is eminent.
