A large window with magnificent views over the city of Barcelona becomes the starting point of the latest project from YLAB Architects. This luminous apartment is located in a classy residential area of Barcelona, near the beach and the sea.
Benefiting fully from the panoramic windows providing magnificent views and abundance of natural light, the spaces of the apartment emanate a serene and balanced atmosphere enhanced by the organic pieces of furniture, contemporary finishes, and natural colors. The living room and the kitchen are organized in one seamlessly connected space where the separation comes from a custom made white cabinetry. A comfortable corner sofa invites relaxation and conversation while an iron wall sculpture by artist Frank Plant and contemporary photographs by Pol Viladoms are contemplated and enjoyed.
In the study that communicates with the dining room through a sliding door a work table and shelves, in a white coating straighten the light reflection and make the most of the space. Here an MDM chair, lamp by Marset and wooden cladding create a relaxing and creative space. On the wall hang two photographs of Ciro Frank Schiappa. The small terrace arraignment is also absolute delight and a space that invites and comforts you. The kitchen is modern and functional while preserving the organic and natural outlook characteristic for the whole apartment design. Here gorgeous oak details and fittings are combined with black granite counter and minimalistic white cabinetry.
Sharing wall with the kitchen is the master bedroom. Here the oak paneling that composes the head wall and the flooring are supplemented by linen bedding, beige curtains, and elegant wooden table, which also introduces serene warmth and comfort in the atmosphere. The bathroom is clad with black ceramic tiles and magnificent gray oak ceiling. Elegantly integrated under the sink, a custom made shelving is used to store different bathroom objects. The materials palette combines oak chosen for the floor and some of the wall paneling – contrasting with the ivory whiten of furniture and fittings and the black graphite elements that give the frame of the space.
