The White Cubes House by AT26 Architecture and Design Team is located in a busy neighborhood corner of Bratislava, Slovakia so it’s modern and plastic facade makes an impression and at the same time fits into the family house surrounding.
The smooth, soft whiteness of the facade with its conceptual arrangements may present its timeless architecture as public and as privet side, opening at the back into a calm garden with swimming pool and wooden deck area. The dynamic atmosphere of the interior corresponds to the unexpected and flexible shapes and lines of the exterior architecture.
The wooden cladding and the row concrete structures that compose the interior arrangement together with the ubiquitous whiteness of walls, as well as furniture and lighting details, is supplemented by some unexpected strong color elements and metal framing of space. The fashionable design pieces of furniture, together with memorable lamp solutions and art elements add to the contemporary and dynamic character of the interior design.
The double height dining zone is adjacent to the minimalist kitchen with its stylish, simple kitchen island. The warmth of the wooden cladding and furnishing is enhanced by the copper shine of the decoration and the contemporary art exhibited around. Refreshing and timeless design goes throughout the house and together with its characteristic white cube facade creates a home of attractive style and character. Photographs: Peter Čintalan
