A small apartment in Sofia shows real contemporary stylistics and elegance. This current project of Marchitects located in Sofia, Bulgaria impresses with its stylish minimalism and the feeling of much bigger spaces.
The owners entrusted the designers with the complete transformation of the old building property into a modern functional combo. So in the end, though intelligent architectural solutions – like strategically placed mirrors, removal of walls and placing upholstered panels that hide privet rooms, glass surfaces that reflect the light and matt glass walls that reveal unexpected corners, space gives the impression of a large, bright and dynamic premise.
The clear lines, the contemporary shapes of the modern furniture, the ingenuity, and the build in fixtures combined with the simplicity of arrangement, the soft textures, and the pastel neutral color palette gives the space light, pure emanation. All the elements of the decor and the interior design choices are obviously carefully considered – black tables, black framing, and elegant black designers’ lines are juxtaposed to soft gray textiles, beige surfaces and cheerful color additions in aquamarine and caramel wood (like the very cheeky and inviting step towards the terrace, that with few soft pillows become a very welcoming reading corner).
All the spaces of the combo possess at least one particular feature that charms and delights with its ingenuity, it is especially obvious in the small bathroom that despite its restriction in size offers, modernistic functionality, artistic expression and entertaining elements ( like the lightning solutions or the wooden grill on the floor that resembles a sauna decor – a funny addition to the space).
