This year’s Designjunction proved to be a huge success for contemporary lighting studio Luum as they featured their largest lighting installation to date. The twenty-metre tall installation of Flame floated up through the venue’s dramatic seven-storey stairwell, creating an inspiring focal point that captured visitors’ imaginations.
The event itself, based in Holborn, London, from 24-27 September, welcomed a record-breaking attendance of more than 25,000 visitors, further supporting the exhibition’s status as the leading destination for contemporary interior design.
In total, more than 180 brands and shops were featured, spread across two venues in Holborn ; ‘The College’, the former home to Central Saint Martins, and Victoria House.
The old College building proved the perfect venue for the latest version of Flame with the mid-century architectural interior surrounding contrasting effectively with the Flame’s highly contemporary form.
