Alessandro Zambelli is back to the Maison & Objet Tradeshow in Paris, where he launches Rivoalto (stand 7, stall D36), a small console shelf which draws inspiration from the Rialto Bridge which, everyone agrees, is the iconic landmark of the Grand Canal and the entire city of Venice.
With his new project, Alessandro Zambelli starts a collaboration with Portégo, a company founded in 2014 with the aim to create design collections deeply rooted in the Veneto region – which is located in the north-eastern part of Italy – and its rich cultural, artistic and historic heritage.
The main symbol of Venice: Rialto bridge.
The leaf is made in an inox sheet colored outside and inside, covered by a solid cherry wood film.
Stylizing a ‘gondola’ boat, passing under the bridge, the handle is casting in bronze.
