With this cheerful and bright house interior we continue our consecution of tours around architects and designers homes. Full of color, bright lights and natural materials this modern home will bring sunlight into your day, and you can never guess the dreadful state the house was in, when architect and client Elaine Richardson got started with the project.
The general reconstruction turned the house into spacious, contemporary building that not only shows innovation but also perfectly fits with its historical and aesthetic surroundings. The facade of the long and narrow site house is a wonderful expression of the creative approach of the architects from Elaine Richardson Architects, towards the whole eclectic interior design. Modern – with clear lines and with the simple appearance of dark – gray concrete and at the same time adopting the classic warmth of smooth curves and natural wood.
The secluded garden at the rear and the exotic presence of plant life, symbolic inner courtyards and skylights arranged throughout the house, add to the welcoming, warm appearance of this family home. The open plan living room premise that connects living room quarters with kitchen and upper-floor staircase offers very friendly countenance framed in white, concert and caramel wood. The simple and stylish color base of polished concrete, white appliances, and vital sunny Cedar wood is enriched by fresh, intense color elements and decorations spread throughout the premises.
Fresh and warm at the same time the appearance of the interior, with its clear lines and comfortable emanations is particularly enchanting at the elegant bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. One modern yet homey, comfortable yet arty, sunny yet functional home for a family of five – a charming project, indeed.
