This beautiful Italian project of Studio A+D had gone under massive reconstruction and renovation of old historical building in Fano. With bold artistic dash, the architects had striped of the building construct and let the exposed brick wall to harmonize with contemporary plastic suffuses and dynamic colors and elements. The old building constructs serves as a decor or canvas on which the designers combine modern furniture brands (as Moroso furniture in the living room and the pinching colorful accents of Kartell vases) with old vintage furniture and accessories. Smooth textures, vivid colors and interesting shapes complete the picture.
The building architecture and design carry typical Italian character; with the impressive central staircase acting as an integral link between the three floors of the apartment, and with its impressive facade and patio. The material spectrum used in construction and furnishing is wide and divers- the strong presence of natural material as wood, bricks and stone is complemented by glass partitions and wrought iron. The color palette adds significant contribution in the apartment’s dynamic and strong presence – the tonality base (at first glimpse) is neutral –white and different shades of beige and gray – to the point where they gradate to purple and pink. Black accents frame the dynamic presence of stronger colors that vivid the space – Turkish blue, strong yellow and green – upgrade the contemporary character of this Italian jewel.
