This Chilean house has been built in the 80’s residential zone and recently had gone under renovation. The Raimundo Anguita architects had turned the house into modern and dynamic home that can host large family and their friends. Through extensive usage of concrete slabs, black metal framing, large comfortable furniture and suitable lighting the house achieves certain contemporary substance and modern stylistics. The massive, rectangular construct of the house architecture interacts intensely with the surrounding gardens and courtyards. Their vitality brings freshness to the interior.
The interior is decided with warm and cozy textures and earthy colors that add substance and drama to the environment. The furniture is massive and represents dynamic mixture between contemporary comfort and 80’s nostalgia. Wooden parquet and furniture, stone build walls and constant interaction whit the greenery of the surrounding courtyards, give to the house a balanced natural element that supplements the contemporary dynamic of the rest of the materials palette.
