VD House is a private residence designed by Studio Guilherme Torres – it’s full of wood and shades of blue, classic furniture and art objects. Massive table in the living room is combined with Wishbone chair by Hans J. Wegner and Tom Dixon lamps. Walls are coated with oak imported from Canada – creating a sense of continuity and integration. “Thus, also eliminate volume differences in partitions,” says the architect Guilherme Torres. The feature became invisible doors and even led to several closets hidden niches. “At breakfast, just open a small door behind the desk to have on hand the coffee machine, toaster and everything. At dinners for friends, are also easy to get the dishes and the silverware.”
