This award winning hotel (Best Hotel Design 2013 award and the Best Restaurant Design 2013 award) is located in the historic center of Amsterdam. The collaboration of ADP architecten and Digital Space led to the creation of extremely artistic, contemporary and dynamic space. The combination of art inspired interiors with preserved and renovated historic facade provides the city with a new cultural hotspot. Leaving the two of its social areas, the restaurant and the basement transformed in exhibition area, open for public the creators give a maximum positive and creative impulse to the urban environment.
The Art’otel -as the name suggests -is an artistic amalgam of monumental architecture, historical facade and modern interior design. The signature artist of the Art’otel- Atelier Van Lieshout was led by the motto “Enjoying art and the art of enjoying” and joins thematically the different premises and rooms in this high-end hotel. Unique furniture experience, intense textures and colors, unexpected lightning solutions and high quality materials transform this old historical building into a contemporary piece of art and comfort. All around the hotel; lobby, restaurant, guestrooms, corridors and bathrooms- there is no detail too small to be overlooked – everything is a fine piece of workmanship and is created with great inspiration and artistic touch.
