Colorful and vibrant space, filled with natural light, surrounded by luxuriant gardens with conceptual art furnishing – this in a nut shell is the DM house – with its Brazilian decor created by Guilherme Torres architects. The house went under serious renovation before the house owners return from London and brought their furniture with them. Actually the furniture is quite an amazing and interesting part of the decoration – it has a certain vintage hint, carrying the colorful spirit and the unusual texture of the mid 70ts. The disco – pop – art theme is interlaced with some original craftsmen pieces created especially for this house. Like the concrete dining table, which was designed by architect and built in during the construction phase, or the large multi – color lacquer cabinet that in a way defines the whole house theme and playful atmosphere.
The architectural layout has its one interesting identity also – the living room, kitchen, garden and swimming pool are located on the place of the ex-cellar. Basement and the other premises – children rooms, play area are situated on the ground floor, creating dynamic and unusual space layout. Here, in the architectural solutions and the interior design, the functionality meets the playfulness with bold dash. Countless eye-catching details and artistic ornaments complete this unique and vital interior- mosaic tile walls, custom made lamps, voluptuous textures and dense colors- a house that is a feast for the senses and wakens the child within.
