When it comes to combining characteristic strengths in an overall concept, the two sister brands COR and interlübke are completely in their element. For the joint presentation in Milan, Peter Kräling has designed ten scenarios around the new models for 2013 – as an intimate interior, shielded by a dark outer shell.
On the inside, an innovative colour concept provides a surprising aspect which is cool, elegant and homely at the same time. Different blue and grey tones run side by side with claret and pink. Seashell and elephant encounter the metallic colours nickel and copper. By way of contrast, the herringbone parquet floor is homogeneous and dark. Further natural material accents (pale oak) are to be found on wardrobes and panels.
With the new upholstered furniture MELL and MELL LOUNGE, COR has designed the ‘seating landscape’ twofold: more club-like and classic in petrol-blue velvet, and for lounging a spacious corner configuration with tables in grey and pink. The complementary living room furniture is supplied by interlübke: a generous wall arrangement of the new cube play programme, underneath which is a lowboard (cube fine). For the distinctive lounge next to this a fitting S07 wall panel system has been created with oak veneer, TV integration and fireplace. A third living variant with a room divider function is presented by a crystal-white studimo shelving system whose cubic design forms a fascinating contrast to the sumptuous cushions of the JALIS upholstered suite. Three further ‘seating islands’ are reserved for the new upholstered furniture family RAWI, the cosy sofa BAHIR and the leather easy chair CORDIA (in fabric and leather).
The walk-in wardrobe – now also the stuff that men’s dreams are made of – appears in 2013 not only as an intelligently designed storage space with many functions: it has also become homely. The combination of S07 (wardrobe) and sipario (room divider) creates a homogeneous interior with pale oak panels, while the shelves and drawers are finished in a seashell tone. The claret-coloured jalis bed is also shown as an integrated solution, framed by a veneered S07 panel system. Several stations are dedicated to interlübke’s cabinet system cube, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. The classic (cube gap) is to be found in the new metallic tone copper, while the more elegant version (cube fine) is presented in nickel. The new model variants cube play for wall design and cube change (adaptable) demonstrate their versatility with innovative colour concepts and playful arrangements.
