Italian designer Giorgio Biscaro has developed his range of ‘bundle’ furniture and lighting. The driving feature behind the collection is the material used, an experimentation with a special cotton fibreboard. A fabric that is usually applied for insulation in electronic appliances, when wet the composition of the textile becomes easily bendable with a behavior similar to leather, easy to model, bend and drill. Once dried again it shrinks, achieving an even stronger stiffness than before the soaking process. via
